NOJA Power’s Director of Research and Development David Dart has received a 1906 Award from the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for a valuable and sustainable contribution to the organisation.
David was nominated by the Chair and Secretary of the IEC Technical Committee 17 for High Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear, in recognition of his leadership and successful development of the IEC 62271-214:2019 standard.
The newly introduced IEC 62271-214 standard covers internal arc classification of metal-enclosed pole-mounted switchgear installations.
"It has been a privilege to help support the development of new IEC standards associated with MV switchgear, with this award being most unexpected - I feel very honoured to have received this award."
- says R&D Director David Dart.
NOJA Power Group Managing Director Neil O’Sullivan said,
"David Dart has led our R&D efforts for more than 15 years and has represented Australia on IEC committees now for many years to help define and shape the future of medium voltage switchgear operating on distribution networks worldwide. This honour is justly deserved."
NOJA Power has successfully implemented Arc Fault Classification in all OSM Reclosers, the NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH®, and the IAC Classified GMK 3000 Series.
