To our valued customers:
The ongoing conflict in the Middle East is causing increased volatility across international manufacturing and logistics networks. Our international supply partners are indicating they are reviewing their prices to the market to compensate for the increased costs of production and transport. Our domestic freight partners have already increased their Fuel Adjustment Factors (FAF) to address the significant increase in the cost of diesel in New Zealand.
Our current stock position is good and we are confident in our ability to continue supplying our customers. We recognize that there are likely to be cost pressures over time arising from raw material inputs, freight, and exchange rate movements. We are monitoring this closely and will communicate with you proactively should product pricing changes become necessary.
In the short term, we need to address the significant increase in the FAF from our domestic freight providers. The increase is too significant for us to ignore or completely absorb. To this end, effective April 13th we will be increasing the levels for FIS to you.
New MOV for FIS Values:
Auckland region: $200 (was $100)
Remainder of the North Island: $400 (was $200)
South Island and Waiheke Island: $500 (was $250)
This gives you the ability to consolidate ordering and avoiding freight charges being applied to your orders, and it means we can spread the costs more evenly over the freight we move. We see this as the fairest way to deal with the current situation. We will review the situation regularly and hope to revert to lower FIS values once the market settles.
Please be assured in the meantime our priority is supporting our customers with the quality products you have come to expect from us, through clear communications, reliable supply, and responsible management of the any supply chain changes that may arise.
Thank you for your ongoing support. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
